Advertisement Fay made landfall late Friday afternoon along the coast of New Jersey.
The track will take the storm up the Hudson Valley bringing heavy rains through upstate New york city, Western Connecticut, Western Massachusetts and Vermont as a tropical depression.
The track is west of Maine, however that does not mean we won’t feel the impacts of Fay.
Bands of rain will continue to move through Maine on Saturday early morning, bringing heavy rain and thunderstorms. By the afternoon we will see some bright breaks and a few scattered showers and storms. Taking a look at 1/2″to 1 1/2″of rains possible with higher amounts in the White Mountains and where those heaviest rain bands set up. It will be breezy but much of the greater winds will remain to the west.
