Cathy Marie Crane YARMOUTH–“I’m a fighter, a person of strong faith, and I’m at peace!” This was the statement of Cathy Marie Crane who died Sept. 8, 2020. Figured out to live her life with faith and the heart of a Warrior, Cathy combated stage 4 cancer with every ounce of her strength, always having a smile and kind word. Cathy made many good friends throughout her treatment appreciating the strength everyone demonstrated. Her smile now shines brilliant in heaven.Cathy understood there is a season and time for each activity under paradise. She heard the words of her Creator, to leave her earthly tent and sign up with friends and family in their divine house. Cathy is made it through by her husband, Dave Crane; son Ryan, his partner Tracy, and their child Hayden of Lincoln; boy Andrew, his wife Taryn, and their two dogs, Bristol and Fuse of Twentynine Palms, Calif.; and son Brent, his spouse Jackie, and their kids, Landon, Caleb and Elias of Lancaster, Pa. They were her heart and most valuable treasures. Cathy is also survived by her mother, Helen Trefethen of Westbrook; brother, Gerald Trefethen of New Gloucester, and his spouse Dina, sister Cyndi Trefethen of Portland; nieces, Caitlin Coppenrath and her spouse Drew and child Parker; Kelsea Bickford and her partner Robert; and nephew Eric Mason and partner Alicia and kids, Colby and Ryan.She is preceded in death by her daddy, Gerald Trefethen; and sibling Holly Mason. She was close to her husband’s family, mother-in-law, Edna Crane; sister-in-law, MaryBeth Brush, her husband John and their child John David, all of Stroudsburg, Pa. She is preceded in death by her father-in-law, David Crane. In 1978 Cathy married Dave and right after they relocated to the Princeton location of New Jersey where Cathy worked as an administrative assistant for the legendary basketball coach at Princeton University, Pete Carril. While residing in New Jersey, she made lifelong good friends and she and Dave welcomed 3 sons. They went back to Cathy’s house state of Maine where they resided in Bangor up until the boys graduated high school. Cathy in addition to 3 other mothers, known as the “4 Mothers” formed a strong bond and together enjoyed their children become amazing adults. After residing in Pennsylvania for a few years, Cathy and Dave returned to Maine. Cathy likewise worked in the insurance coverage industry and legal field when in Maine and Pennsylvania. Cathy requested her genuine appreciation to her Cancer Team; Dr. Pearce, Dr. Mimokis, Dr. Duggan, and Dr. Wrona. She could not have been in much better hands. Cathy stayed at house with the aid of her devoted household, her church family headed by Carolyn and Bill Verrill, and her long-lasting friend Joanna Rush. She later on passed at Gosnell Memorial Hospice Home, where she got the most loving and caring care. The household provides an unique thank you to her online support system, “Warriors for Cathy”.
