SACO– It’s with great unhappiness that I share with you Ken’s tranquil death at home on Dec. 23, 2020 with loving family by his side. His long, difficult fought fight with esophageal cancer has actually ended.
Ken’s all set smile, helping hand and mild way will constantly be remembered. Ken touched a lot of lives. He was born Feb. 19, 1942 in Gardiner, the boy of the late Leon O. Goodwin and Ada M. Goodwin.
A graduate of Gardiner High School class of 1960, Ken held professions in banking, insurance, and health center administration, advancing to administrator/CEO of Sebasticook Health center in Pittsfield and Millinocket Neighborhood Healthcare Facility. He ended his career in building safety and management on different tasks in Mississippi, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire.
Ken took pleasure in life to its maximum. He and Sandi might be discovered kayaking the coasts of Maine and Florida or climbing mountains whenever they could.
Ken enjoyed his family and lots of pals. He had an outgoing personality with constantly a smile on his face.
He is survived by his better half, Sandi Gomez of Saco; son, Jeff Goodwin and his wife Karen of Herndon, Va., child, Kristi Goodwin of Anchorage, Alaska; brother, Richard Goodwin and his spouse Peggy of Augusta; stepdaughter, Heather Stringer of Casco, stepson, David Shepard and his other half Kim of Naples, Fla.; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Hospice for their care during the last couple of days of Ken’s life.
There will be an event of Ken’s life later on this summer season or fall. Dennett, Craig and Crown Funeral Service House, Saco is entrusted with his plans.
