PORTLAND, Maine– After raising enough cash to deliver over 1,500 lunches to staff members at Maine Medical Center last spring, LB Kitchen in Portland is once again attempting to do its part for medical workers and members of the Portland neighborhood.

” Not only was it meaningful to get healthy food in the hands of doctor, it was a lifeline for us as a service, “POUND Kitchen area

stated of its campaign in the spring. The dining establishment said service picked up in the summertime but now that we’re settling into winter season, they’re seeing a great deal of individuals struggling with food insecurity. Here’s how the dining establishment states people can contribute:

This time we’re providing two choices for donations. You can select to send your donated meals to the medical employees or to Cooking For Community who has the facilities to deliver meals within our city to those in need. For each $10 donated, we’re providing lunch for 1 individual. Once we raise adequate funds to get to the required meal donation, we’ll prepare and provide lunch to a whole personnel division at Maine Med OR to a local company in need. We’ve set up the contributions in multiples of $10’s, but if you can donate x 2, 10 or 50, that would be amazing! You can donate through the link on our site, by adding a contribution to your online lunch or breakfast order or mail a check to:
